Emergency Hardware Replacement Program

Not all companies require a hot or cold disaster recovery site, but do want to have a plan in place for emergency replacement of their servers.   The CPS Emergency Hardware Replacement Program covers your iSeries needs in case any kind of disaster to insure that you are up and running in whatever timeframe you can live with.

 The CPS plan will replace your server with an equivalent machine that has equal or better processor capability, memory, disk capacity, features, OS level, and peripherals within a timeframe specified by contract, usually 2 business days.   It is delivered to any location you have selected as your Disaster site.   It could be your primary facility, if it is the type of emergency that just affected your server or another other location if the disaster is greater.

 We designed the CPS program as ala-carte, to fit our client’s budget.  You pay a small monthly subscription for the basic coverage,  a separate fee for periodic testing if you want it,  and in the event of a disaster, a rental fee or purchase price for the replacement equipment, which is usually covered by business insurance.   Why pay the high monthly prices for Cold site DR when this plan offers the same protection and additional convenience for far less $$$?

 And, if your recovery needs are more time sensitive, CPS has a number of other DR programs if your need is to be up and running sooner; including replication, hot site, and dedicated spare servers.  But, if you are looking for an economical solution that will have you up and running in one or two days and meets all your regulatory requirements, this could be the plan you have been waiting for.

Disaster Recovery Preparedness Evaluation

This is a complete audit and assessment of your backup processes and procedures.  With over 25 years of experience in the IBM Midrange environments, we know what it takes to recover an AS/400 or System i Server.   We have helped many customers in both routine and emergency situations.   We have gotten our customers through fires, floods, sabotage, equipment failure, and almost every other type of disaster.   We know what those recoveries take and can help you insure that you have the right processes in place, are capturing all of the required data, and are properly distributing those backups to eliminate any single points of failure.  We provide a written assessment with specific suggestions for fixing any problems and updating your processes to ensure that you have a complete, working backup should you need it.
