Unitrends Disk to Disk Backup Solution allows you to backup your
servers, desktops, laptops, even your firewalls, switches, and routers,
to a central Raid 5 protected Disk backup unit automatically and
effortlessly. Hot swap removable travel disks that hold up to a Terra
byte each then allow you to move the data off site.
Vastly superior to tape, this unit lets you backup different devices,
even different files at varying frequencies. Individual files can be
restored at any time, and even prior versions of files. (The unit can
be configured to hold prior backups for 90+ days, and even longer in
some cases.)
The Unitrends Solution currently works with over 20 different OS's
& Applications including all Windows, Unix, Linux, Netware, OS/400,
Exchange, SQL, Solaris, and many more. Regardless of the types of
servers you have, backup management can be done from a single control
screen. Multiple reports verifying successful backup status, data
sizes, and much more are available at your fingertips, and the
notification system can be set up to email, text message, or page
multiple addresses with notifications based on user configurable criteria.
In addition, the Unitrends Solution will do Bare Metal backups on many
of the more common OS's including Windows, Linux, Unix, and more. Bare
Metal means that it is backing up EVERYTHING, creating a complete image
of the system including OS, registry changes, configurations, Drivers,
etc. The Unitrends then creates and burns a Recovery CD so that if you
have a server crash, recovery is as simple as inserting the recovery CD
and selecting restore. You will be back up and running in literally
minutes!
Finally, for the ultimate data protection, Unitrends has a vaulting
option that allows you to put a second device in an off site location.
The 2 units are tightly integrated to move your Backup data off site in
a highly compressed, efficient and completely automatic process. The
remote vault is completely "lights out" meaning no human interaction is
needed at all for day to day operations.
